In Nevada Vegas PBS is focused on connecting post 9/11 veterans with military-friendly employers looking to fill entry-level to mid-entry management positions quickly. To date, Vegas PBS' Veterans Coming Home effort has served nearly 200 veterans through job fair attendance, assessment completion, GOAL course/certificate enrollment, or video testimonials.

San Antonio KLRN

In San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio KLRN works with local, state, and national partners to enable veterans to share their stories and to successfully transition from military to civilian life. A key part of the effort is KLRN's Veterans Academy through which transitioning military personnel are educated on a variety of topics designed to support reintegration and foster meaningful employment.

Nashville Public Television (NPT)

Nashville Public Television (NPT) works with a variety of local partners on a series of broadcasts designed to let veterans know where to find resources in the community. The transition to civilian life is often eased by gainful employment, the subject of a NPT segment entitled "Work after War." And employers like COPS Monitoring are stepping up to help.

WHRO Norfolk has deepened their commitment to ensuring that veterans find employment by partnering with CivilianJobs.com on a Military Job Fair that drew more than 550 attendees and resulted in a 17% increase in website visits to CivilianJobs.com.

Through partnerships with the Michigan Veterans Affairs agency, Detroit-based veterans service organizations, and the local Society for Human Resource Management, Detroit Public TV (DPTV) connects veterans with resources to support their career search. DPTV's "Hiring 101" series includes four videos that focus respectively on interviewing, recruitment, retention, and translating military skills to the workplace.
